@pzmyers I'll never understand why these scans aren't released with printable shape files, too. You can do some much in a classroom with a bunch of printable bio models.
@pzmyers In the home, maybe, but I can't think of a single university I've been to in the last 5 years that doesn't have at least one somewhere. Decent ones are like $200 now.
@DrAndrewThaler @pzmyers Yeah. I did a couple of 3D printed and laser cut giveaways when I was TAing intro bio. It's amazing how much more illustrative $0.10 of plastic can be verses a $10.00 packet of photocopies.

@pzmyers Schools, too. Makerbot, for all its flaws, has done a tremendous job getting printers into schools.
