The province is committing $28 million for pre-apprenticeship coaching packages to assist help with Ontario’s expert labour scarcity.
Minister of Labour, Coaching and Expertise Growth Monte McNaughton made the announcement Wednesday in London.
The coaching packages are free for individuals and mix classroom coaching with on-the-job studying. There have been 1,790 individuals enrolled in pre-apprenticeship packages from April 2021 to March 2022 throughout the province.
Wednesday’s funding announcement funding is a rise of $5 million from 2021.
